About Our Family

My grandfather first started making sushi in Korea when the Korean War left him and his family urgently searching for an occupation that could both feed and provide for them. Since then, he's been in practice for over 60 years and passed on all of his cooking expertise and passion to his children. In the 2000's, our family moved to the U.S. and opened a Korean-Japanese fusion restaurant, O'daku, located in North Austin off of Mopac where it is still a staple today.

 

Sushi-Hi is a family-owned and operated restaurant, the same family that have served Austinites for over 15 years, and we pride ourselves on the quality and quantity we offer. We encourage anyone new to sushi to try out our humble selections of delicious sushi rolls, ramen, and korean dishes. Don't forget our famous complimentary Miso Soup!
