About Our Family
My grandfather first started making sushi in Korea when the Korean War left him and his family urgently searching for an occupation that could both feed and provide for them. Since then, he's been in practice for over 60 years and passed on all of his cooking expertise and passion to his children. My mother moved to the U.S. and opened up her Korean-Japanese fusion restaurant (O'daku), and the rest of the family followed to help the business boom.
After working in various restaurants, my uncle decided it was time to open up his own--a place where people of all ages could gather and enjoy a wholesome and filling yet accessible meal. Thus, Sushi Hi was born, and since then he's committed himself to creating dishes that are nutritious and prices that are reasonable.
Sushi-Hi is a family-owned and operated restaurant, and we pride ourselves on the quality and quantity we offer. We're right next to Buffalo Exchange on Guadalupe St. and we have a large, private parking lot in the back, so dine with us today!
